The Master of Education (M.Ed.) Programme is a two-year professional programme in the field of Teacher Education which aims at preparing teacher educators and other education professionals including curriculum developers, educational policy analysts, planners, administrators, supervisors, school principals and researchers. The completion of the programme shall lead to M.Ed. degree with specialization either in elementary education (upto class VIII) or in secondary education (classes IX-X). Duration: Attendance : The minimum attendance of student-teachers shall be 80% for all course work including practicum, and 90% for Field Attachment. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
The Bachelor of Education programme, generally known as B.Ed., is a professional course that prepare teachers for upper primary or middle level (classes vi-viii), secondary level (classes ix-x) & senior secondary level
(classes xi-xii).
Duration :
Duration of the B.Ed. Programme shall be of two academic years, which can be completed in a maximum of three years from the date of admission to the programme.
Attendance :
The minimum attendance of student-teachers shall have to be 80% for all course work and practicum, and 90% for school internship.
Sanctioned Intake :
There is an annual intake of 250 students in B.Ed. Course granted by Eastern Regional Committee, NCTE, Bhubaneswar vide its revised recognition letter no. F.ERC / NCTE / BR-S / E-2 / 96 / B.Ed. (Revised Order) /2015 / 32737, Dated: - 31st May 2015.

The Bachelor of Physical Education programme, generally known as B.P.Ed. shall be a professional programme meant for preparing leaders of physical education from classes VI to X and for conducting physical educational and sports activities in classes XI and XII.
Duration:
The B.P.Ed. programme shall be of a duration of two academic years; i.e. four semesters. However, the students shall be permitted to complete the programme within a maximum of three academic years.
Attendance :
The minimum attendance of student-teachers’ shall have to be 80% for all course work and practicum, and 90% for school internship.
Sanctioned Intake :

Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) is a two year professional programme of Teacher Education. It aims to prepare teacher for elementary stage of education (Classes I-VIII). The aim of elementary education is to fulfill the basic learning needs of all children in an inclusive full environment bridging Social and General gaps with the active participation of community.
Duration:
As per the NCTE regulation 2014, the D.El.Ed. programme is of a duration of two academic years. However, the students are permitted to complete the programme within a maximum period of three years from the date of admission to the programme.
Age Limit:
The minimum age limit for admission in D.El.Ed course (for all category) is 17 years as on the first January of the year of enrollment and there is no maximum age limit kept by the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna.
Attendance:
The minimum attendance of student-teachers is 80% for all course work including practicum, and 90% for school internship.
Sanctioned Intake:
There is an intake of 200 students in this course sanctioned by Eastern Regional Committee, NCTE, Bhubaneshwar, vide its letter no.ERC/7-60.7.2./2005/335-342, dated-05-09-2005
